She has been meeting folks at the wonderful Silver Star in Myakka City, getting a chance to hear people's concerns. She's also been to the Fort Hamer Road Study update to learn the latest with the construction projects there, the Parrish Area Business Alliance luncheon, staying informed at the Future of Agriculture panel put on by the East Manatee Preservation Association, and the Parrish Civic Association meeting.
And she found time to attend the February 13 meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, again demanding transparency while honoring the good work that the staff has done to improve the search functions of the county website.
She was also there to participate in receiving the proclamation for the Florida Cracker Trail, a historic trail used to drive cattle from the interior of the state to salt water ports for shipment elsewhere for trade.
And if you can make it come to the Manatee County Neighborhood Summit on February 23rd, and learn how your county works! It's at the Lakewood Ranch Library.
