Post-Hurricane Help

In the aftermath of Hurricanes Debby, Helene and Milton, Carol has been hard at work behind the scenes, talking with county officials to make sure that things are getting done to serve District 1, and that our farthest-flung communities are not forgotten. She has also been personally assisting people with getting gas, helping people navigate the system to get aid, and making sure that people know where to find information.  She has driven out to see some of the damage across the county and will be visiting some of the worst-hit communities.

If you have been personally affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton and need additional help, Carol will help you get connected to get the aid you need. Carol is most active on Facebook.

But please be aware that you should first check out the county website and social media pages for information on how to connect to FEMA and other agencies, and know where the distribution points are.  And if you have any questions, you can always call 311.  You SHOULD call 311 to report troubles like broken water mains, and serious potholes.
